Introduction & Hourly Rates

Solicitors frequently charge based on hourly rates – a time-honoured method. Hourly rates are calculated by taking into account the costs of running a practice and adding a subjective profit the owners subjectively consider to be reasonably suitable for the caseworker’s experience and expertise. For certain matters, fixed fees can be calculated by transposing hourly rates multiplied by the time estimate involved in completing the matter.Where this is not possible, or where our Client Care Letter expressly excludes legal work not included within the fixed rate, our hourly rates are as follows:

  • Partner: £500 plus VAT per hour
  • Solicitor: £360 plus VAT per hour
  • Trainee Solicitor: £250 plus VAT per hour
  • Paralegals: £200.00 plus VAT per hour

Immigration

The prices quoted below will have VAT added unless the client is not resident in the UK. The price range takes into account that some cases are more complex than others. The fees quoted are for the main applicant only. Dependents are charged separately but will be no more than 30% of the price for the main applicant. The fees at the initial, extension and ILR application will engage a new set of fees at the same fixed rate.

Employment

For employment cases involving claims of unfair or wrongful dismissal, our hourly rates apply. If a barrister is instructed, these costs are additional disbursements. Our total fees and disbursements will not exceed 40% of the claim sum cited in the Employment Claim Form. We will attempt to provide an estimate in our client care letter based on an initial review of your case.

Debt recovery

For debt recovery claims up to £100,000, our hourly rates apply. If a barrister is instructed, these costs are additional disbursements.Our total fees and disbursements will not exceed 40% of the claim sum cited in the Claim Form. We will attempt to provide an estimate in our client care letter based on an initial review of your case.

  • Spouse Visa (overseas): £2,000 -£3,000
  • Spouse Visa (in country): £2,000-£3,000
  • Visitor Visa: £800-£1,500
  • Student Visa (Tier 4): £1000
  • 10 Years Indefinite Leave to Remain: £2,000-£3,000
  • 20 Years Indefinite Leave to Remain: £3,000-£4,000
  • Nationality / British Citizenship: £1000-£2000  
  • Appeals: £3,000-£4,000
  • Administrative Review: £1,000-£2,000
  • Judicial Review: £5,000-£8,000
  • Tier 1 (Investor): £20,000-£50,000
  • Tier 1 (Entrepreneur): £20,000-£50,000
  • Sole Rep: £20,000 – £50,000
  • Tier 2 Sponsor Licence Application: £6,000-£10,000
  • Tier 2 General: £2,000-£3,000
  • Tier 5: £3,000
  • HR Applications (no status): £3,000

Fixed fees apply to Commercial Property. All prices are exclusive of: VAT; search fees (£200-£1000 plus VAT) ; surveyor fees; Land Registry Fees; SDLT.
